Health and Care Worker Visa
A health and care worker visa allows you to do an eligible job with the NHS, an NHS supplier or in adult social care. The employer must hold a sponsor licence as approved by the Home Office. The visa can be granted for up to 5 years. After you have completed a period of 5 years as a health and care worker, you will be eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain subject to satisfying certain criteria.

Who can apply for a Health and Care Worker Visa?
To apply for a health and care worker visa, you generally must meet the following requirements:
- Be over the age of 18.
- You should be a qualified doctor, nurse, health professional or adult social care professional.
- Have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from a UK Home Office approved employer (sponsor) for a genuine vacancy.
- Work in an eligible role that appears on the Home Office standard occupational classification code list.
- Be paid the minimum salary dependent on your role.
- Demonstrate a satisfactory level of English language unless an exception applies.
- Have the minimum amount of savings required unless your UK Home Office approved employer (sponsor) certifies your maintenance on the Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
- Provide a criminal record certificate if applying from outside the UK.
