Global Talent Visa

You can apply for a global talent visa if you are a leader or a potential leader and you have been endorsed (or have an eligible award) in your field of academia or research, arts and culture or digital technology. There are two stages to this process, you first need to apply for endorsement from a Home Office approved endorsing body to confirm that your application meets the requirements unless you have an eligible award in your field.

After you have received your endorsement, you can apply for the visa. The visa can initially be granted for a period of 5 years and can be extended for a further 5 years subject to satisfying certain criteria. After you have completed a period of 3 years or 5 years you will be eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain subject to satisfying certain criteria.

Who can apply for a Global Talent Visa?

To apply for a global talent visa, you generally must meet the following requirements:

  • Be over the age of 18.
  • Obtain endorsement from a Home Office approved endorsing body unless you have an eligible award.
  • Have the minimum amount of savings required to support yourself.
  • Provide proof of recognition for work that has contributed to the advancement of their chosen field.
