Bail Application

If you are detained within the UK, you can make an application for immigration bail. There are usually two ways in which you can apply for bail which are either by applying to the Secretary of State for the Home Department or by applying to the court (First-tier Tribunal). If applying to the court, you would usually need a financial condition supporter who is someone willing to support your bail application by agreeing to be liable to pay a specified sum of money if you fail to comply with any conditions of your immigration bail.

The financial condition supporter will need to be able to exert some influence over you and monitor your activity to ensure you comply with the conditions of your immigration bail. Conditions of bail could include reporting, having an electronic tag, restrictions of where you can travel and curfews on the times that you could travel.
