Returning Residence Application

A returning residence application allows you to apply to reinstate your indefinite leave to remain if you have been outside the UK for a consecutive period of 2 years or 5 years if you were granted indefinite leave to remain under the EU Settlement Scheme (4 years if you are a Swiss national granted indefinite leave to remain under the EU Settlement Scheme). You would need to demonstrate that prior to you being absent from the UK, you held indefinite leave to remain and that you have strong ties to the UK. If successful in your application, you will be granted indefinite leave to remain.
