Who can apply for a British Registration Application?

To apply for British registration, you generally must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be aged under 18 however in certain circumstances you can be an adult aged over the age of 18.
  • Different rules apply depending on the date of your birth, where you were born, the absences that you have had outside the UK, whether you are stateless or your parents’ marital status at the time of your birth.
  • Intend to make the UK your principal home.
  • Be a person of good character.
