Adult Dependent Relative Visa
An adult dependent relative visa allows an applicant who is the parent, grandparent, adult sibling or child of a British citizen or someone settled in the UK (who is known as the sponsor) to enter the UK on the basis he/she as a result of age, illness or disability requires long-term personal care. The applicant would need to demonstrate that the level of care they require is not available in their country of residence or that it is unaffordable. If successful, you may be given indefinite leave to enter or leave to remain which has the same expiry date of your sponsor’s leave to remain.
The adult dependent relative visa has a high refusal rate and often is refused where there has been a failure to provide the relevant documentary evidence to support your application. It is therefore important that you understand the requirements of this visa and include all the necessary documents to strengthen the chances of your success. We have the experience and knowledge to assist you with your adult dependent relative application.
