International Sportsperson Visa
An international sportsperson visa allows you to enter the UK as an elite sportsperson or qualified coach to work in the UK for a UK Home Office approved employer who is known as a licenced sponsor. You would need to be endorsed by your sport’s governing body (for example, The Football Association or The England and Wales Cricket Board, etc) who confirms that you are internationally established and that your employment will develop your sport in the UK at the highest level.
The visa can be granted initially for up to 3 years which can be extended. After you have completed a period of 5 years as an international sportsperson, you will be eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain subject to satisfying certain criteria.
We have the experience and knowledge to assist you with your UK international sportsperson visa whether it is for entry clearance to the UK or to extend or switch into an international sportsperson visa.
To discuss how our experienced immigration lawyers can assist you with your application please call or email us. Alternatively, you can complete the online enquiry form and we will contact you.
